Financial participation programs for employees can, to a large extent, contribute to increasing companies’ productivity, competitiveness and profitability. Therefore the TOBEQU 3 project aims to:
- increase awareness of the benefits of financial participation of employees with regard to corporate governance among the CEE social partner organizations, companies, employee representatives (trade unions), governments and other stakeholders,
- improve the knowledge of financial participation systems in CEE, their practical application through employers’ and employees’ feedback on their experience, behaviour, attitude and expectations,
- facilitate the exchange of information and best practices among companies that have adopted employee financial involvement schemes,
- foster the development of a tax and legislative environment in CEE that encourages and supports the development of employee financial involvement.
The project will develop initiatives and recommendations as well as propose actions on company level for practicing social dialogue that would promote more successful implementation of financial participation of employees. On the basis of national surveys of employers and employees in member companies of the CEE employers’ organizations, we will endeavour to determine what would motivate companies to increase the involvement of employees in financial participation. The findings of the surveys will also be helpful to identify strengths, weaknesses, needs, obstacles and challenges regarding the implementation of financial participation from both employers’ and employees’ points of view.
