The Slovenian Employers’ Association and the Transport Association at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised on 13 October 2011 a workshop within the framework of the RITS project activities.
The aim of the workshop, organised within the RITS – Restructuring and Industrial Relations in the Transport Sector project was to introduce the key challenges facing the transport sector in Slovenia and Europe.
The participants of the workshop were addressed by Robert Sever, general director of Transport Association, who introduced the joint project, the Slovenian transport sector and the issues it faces.
Antje Fiehn, from the BDI – Federation of German Industries – then presented the European views on the transport situation. She introduced the future EU strategies based on the White Paper on transport. Matjaž Vrčko from the Ministry of Transport presented the Slovenian views on the set orientations.
In the second part of the workshop Antje Fiehn presented the anticipated amendments to the Eurovignette, whereas Branka Videtič from the Motorway Company in the Republic of Slovenia (DARS) introduced the Slovenian motorway toll system. In the discussion that followed the participants could express their opinions and point out the difficulties they need to address in the day-to-day work.
