The interim meeting took place on 2nd February 2012 in Skopje and was organised by Business Macedonia.

The main aims of the meeting were to exchange experience gained at the national workshops, evaluate the project work so far and to plan further activities.

In the first part of the meeting the partners presented the results of the national workshops, topics, participants and their feedback (as described in previous section of this report). This was followed by a report of BDI experts (Antje Fiehn, Daniel Sahl) who contributed know-how at the workshops. Antje Fiehn presented the topics that were presented at the workshops by the BDI and gave some recommendations for future organisation of similar events.

The meeting continued with a presentation by Antje Fiehn on anticipating and managing change and restructuring in the transport sector. She explained the process of EU policy creation by the EU bodies and the possibilities to get involved in the process and influence the decisions. She presented the example of BDI involvement in each step of policy creation and explained the importance of being present in Brussels.

Partners also discussed the organisation of the Study tour in Brussels. The aim of study tour was to get to know the EU institutions better (EC, council, parliament), learn how to get involved and influence decision making processes, learn about sectoral social dialogue, meet stakeholders from transport sector, observe good practice on spot (visit Port of Antwerp).

In the final part of the meeting partners discussed the publication and also agreed that the final conference, where the project results and issues in restructuring in transport sector will be presented, will take place in Ljubljana on 12 June 2012.
