Promoting employee financial participation in the eu27

Promoting employee financial participation in the eu27

The project has the aim to provide support for including EFP in the EU policy agenda in response to the most pressing EU challenges.

It creates a large partnership to identify best practices in order to improve policy making and policy implementation while at the same time monitoring and reporting on Member State progresses in promoting EFP. In doing so the project involves key EU and national stakeholders, social partners, civil society organisations and other institutions to promote a culture of social dialogue and partnership in a context of economic democracy. To this end the project directly contributes to the implementation of the Open Method of Co-ordination (OMC)

More specifically the project will (1) improve dissemination of studies and research; (2) frame EFP in the economic and social policies of the EU; (3) facilitate EFP in small and medium enterprises (4) further deepen previous research on taxation of EFP, macroeconomic effects and its potential role in the public sector; and (5) promoting a common European platform for financial participation.

Project partnership

The Inter-University Centre of the Free University Berlin, SINDNOVA and ZDS will act as the lead partners, DIESIS manages and administrates the project. 12 experts from the partners’ networks divided in 6 thematic working groups participate. The Inter-University Centre and SINDNOVA will carry out the tasks specified in the detailed work programme below in cooperation with a broad net work of 27 among institutional partners and supporting organisations. Furthermore 5 cooperating institutions – with two of them being themselves financed by the European Commission and thus not eligible for funding – are supplying the project with both, expertise and data.
