The project Ageing Workforce 2 aims to:
- develop recommendations and measures for companies to ensure employability and productivity of an ageing workforce,
- help companies to deal with demographic ageing, keep older workers in employment longer and improve their working conditions,
- strengthen social dialogue and collective bargaining in the new member states and the candidate country.
The partners involved in the project will engage themselves to reach the main expected outcome – better age management in our countries. As a result of the project, the partners expect a better and stronger bipartite social dialogue and on company level, the situation of older workers needs to be taken into account. That can have an important impact on increasing the employment rate of elderly workers and improving their working conditions. The involved employers' organisations, their branch associations and members as well as their national trade union partners will increase their expertise and hands on knowledge in this field. Since it is difficult to find practical information and advice on age management in our countries and there are hardly any informative or educational events for HR managers on this topic, the expected deliverables of this project will be most welcome:
- a publication on age management and social dialogue in all languages of the CEE partner countries (Czech, Croatian, Hungarian, Slovakian and Slovene),
- websites on age management in the CEE countries (establish by MGYOSZ, SP, RUZ, HUP and ZDS on their web sites),
- national seminars/workshops on age management in Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
The first meeting of participating partners took place in Ljubljana on July 21st, where we overviewed some of the most important measures of age management: age-based work environment, adaptation of work processes, health promotion, life-long learning, training, redeployment. All partners will organize national activities in their countries. At the meetings that will take place in different countries the partners will exchange information and best practices, discuss the results and develop initiatives for the future.
The project receives funding from the European Commission.
